Introduction

In the classification of Schatz et al. (2011), the family Eremobelbidae includes four genera and 51 species world-wide. Subias (2004, 2011) placed all these species in the single cosmopolitan genus Eremobelba. The Australian Eremobelbidae are poorly known, with only one genus, and no identified species. An unidentified species of Eremobelba was recorded from a cave in Western Australia by Harvey et al. (1993).
