Introduction
The family Epimeriidae is a dominant members of the Antarctic benthic amphipod community (De Broyer et al., 2007). Epimeriids occur worldwide although their main occurrence is in polar waters. Currently there are two genera and six species of Epimeriidae known from the Australian Antarctic territories. There is one new species of Epimeria from north-western Australia in the collections of the Australian Museum.
