Suborder ENDEOSTIGMATA
Introduction
The group of families that is here referred to as Endeostigmata has had a complicated and confusing taxonomic and nomenclatural history. The classification used here is based on that of Lindquist et al. (2009), slightly simplified. The taxonomy and biology of the group are reviewed by Walter (2009), the Australian fauna is reviewed by Walter (2001), and the nomenclatural history of some of the families is reviewed by Judson (2000).
