Diorchis flavescens sensu. Johnston, 1912, nec Taenia flavescens Krefft, 1873. Acta Parasitogica Polonica 32: 39–52 considered that Diorchis flavescens (Krefft, 1873) was a synonym of Hymenolepis megalops (Nitzsch, 1829) and proposed the new name, Diorchis thomasorum for the species.
