Transactions of the Entomological Society of New South Wales 2: 206-232 [paper read 1871, published 1873] [217] [junior homonym; In regards to this species Johnston 1912 stated "appears very like his [Krefft's] T. novaehollandiae from the same host and consequently I have not thought it advisable to rename it until the specimens shall have been more carefully studied."].

Status unknown, SAMA AHC20076, AHC20386 Slide (Both labelled as 'types'. Krefft wrote that specimens were "from the neighbourhood of Sydney and Queensland".), Queensland or New South Wales.
