Adult: volant.
Diagnosis
A single set of four spines arranged in a nearly transverse row near middle of the front tibia; hind tarsi of males greatly swollen. Rostrum short, not extending beyond bases of antennae. Thorax black pilose; coxae and femora black; tibiae dark brown to black, tinged with red and broadly yellow at bases, first three tarsomeres yellow.Posterior veins in the wingfaintly coloured, tinged yellow to brownish, not concolorous with the membrane; radial vein has short setae along its full length above.
