Ecological Descriptors
Adult: volant.
Diagnosis
Rostrum short, hind tarsi of males strongly inflated, a 2: 3 arrangement of spines in dorsomedian portion of front tibia, and wing venation complete. Legs almost entirely yellow. Differs from all known Australian Dilophus by having thorax, excepting scutellum, predominantly rufous, with tinge of brown just outside dorsocentral lines.
