Ecological Descriptors
Adult: volant.
Diagnosis
Lacking m-cu crossvein and base of vein M,. Differentiated from all known species of Australian Dilophus by having 6 spines on dorsal portion of front tibia, 2 at basal of segment and 4 arranged irregularly just beyond middle; rostrum scarcely produced beyond eye margin; anterior portion of front and underside of head and rostrum densely gray pubescent.
