Ecological Descriptors
Adult: volant.
Diagnosis
Rostrum short; hind tarsi of male swollen; wing venation complete; 2: 3 arrangement of spines on the front tibia. Front femora and attenuated basal portions of mid and hind femora of male clear yellow, rather than the legs entirely black;sets of spines on dorsal surface of front tibia widely spaced, with 2 spines at basal one third and 3 at apical two thirds of segment.
