Larva: herbivore (associated flora: Salacia chinensis L. [CELASTRACEAE] Lolly Berries; Litchi chinensis Sonner. [SAPINDACEAE]; Sarcopteryx martyana (F.Muell.) Radlk. [SAPINDACEAE]; Caryota albertii H.Wendl. & Drude [ARECACEAE]; Connarus conchocarpus F.Muell. [CONNARACEAE]; Salacia disepala (C.T.White) Ding Hou [CELASTRACEAE]).

Litchi chinensis (Sapindaceae) is introduced.

Type data: syntypes whereabouts unknown *; Moore in the original description listed three specimens; Parsons, M.J. 1998. The Butterflies of Papua New Guinea; their systematics and biology. San Diego : Academic Press 736 pp. [404] (referred to a holotype); Edwards, E.D., Newland, J. & Regan, L. 2001. Lepidoptera: Hesperioidea, Papilionoidea. In Wells, A. & Houston, W.W.K. Zoological Catalogue of Australia. Vol. 31.6. Melbourne : CSIRO Publishing, Australia. x 615 pp. (Parsons' reference to holotype is not accepted as a lectotype designation as he knew of no specimen).
Type locality: Canara, and north India and Darjeeling (in original description).
