Notes
Reported in Australia by Southcott & Glover, 1987 (near Adelaide). This report is erroneous; the specimens are a new species of Desmonema awaiting formal description.
Desmonema gaudichaudii was considered by Larson (1986) to be identical to the later named D. chierchianum, thus having nomenclatural priority.
