Subfamily Decacotylinae Chisholm, Wheeler & Beverley Burton, 1995
Introduction
This subfamily accommodates monocotylids with 10 peripheral loculi, a marginal valve, hamuli and 14 hooklets on the haptor. Unsclerotised, possible muscular structures are present on the dorsal surface of the haptor (Chisholm & Whittington, 1998). Parasites of Dasyatid and myliobatid rays.
