Ecological Descriptors

Adult: predator, terrestrial.

 

Diagnosis

Length 2.0-2.2 mm. Body minutely and sparsely granulate. Head with antennomeres X barely larger than IX, clubs formed by antennomeres XI; antennal tubercles distinct but not prominent. Pronotum with distinct median longitudinal sulcus on disc. Elytra lacking discal stria. Thorax with small metasternal foveae. Male eyes consisting of about 45-50 facets; mesotrochanters bluntly angulate and carinate ventrally; metafemora curved posteriorly, with groove in apical two-thirds on mesal margin that receives metatibiae; metatibiae with two broadly rounded lobes on dorsal margin at base. Visible sternites 3-4 (V-VI) obliquely and convergently impressed laterally, impressions broad and shallow, with setae oriented differently from setae on other areas of sternites; 5 (VII) with apical margin protruding as ventral lip, with small tuft of setae at lateral margins; 6 (VIII) with blunt broad tubercles at base near lateral margins. Female eyes consisting of about 6-7 facets; lacking modifications of abdomen and metatibiae; apical segment of abdomen elongately triangular.
