- Mellesis Bezzi, M. 1916. On the fruit-flies of the genus Dacus (s.l.) occurring in India, Burma and Ceylon. Bulletin of Entomological Research 7: 99-121 [114] [this subgenus had been synonymised with Dacus (Callantra) however Hancock & Drew (2006) reviewed its status and restored it as a valid subgenus].
