Family DITRACHYBOTHRIDIIDAE
Introduction
This small diphyllidean family comprises two species in a single genus, Ditrachybothridium Rees, 1959. While possessing the paired bothria, a scolex peduncle and the mid-ventral genital pore found in all diphyllideans, this family lacks the characteristic armature found in the second diphyllidean family, the Echinobothriidae Perrier, 1897.
