Introduction
The family Derocheilocarididae comprises about a dozen species, most in the genus Derocheilocaris, distributed mainly on the coasts of the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea (Schram 1986; Boxshall & Defaye 1996). One Australian species is known (Bartsch 1993).
