Introduction

Cylindrovertilla comprises some of the smallest Australian land snails. The genus is distinguished from other pupillid genera by the combination of a minute, sinistral, brown shell and indentation of the body whorl and lip.

Diagnosis

Shell minute, ovately pupiform, sinistral with a sculpture of fine crowded radial lines and wrinkles, translucent; aperture with parietal, palatal and columellar teeth; lip and last part of body whorl strongly indented; lip strongly reflected; imperforate. Colour dark amber.
