Type species:
Ceratopogon punctata Latreille, 1809 by monotypy.- Marksomyia Bellis & Dyce, 2011 [as subgenus].
Introduction
Bellis et al. (2013) revised the Immaculatus group of species, examining morphology and employing molecular analyses and Bellis et al. (2014) provided a pictorial key to adult female Culicoides from the Northern Territory, Western Australia and South Australia.
