Introduction
The genus Ctenotus requires revision. Rabosky et al. (2014) studied species boundaries within the C. inornatus and C. robustus species complexes using genetic and morphological data. This work showed that the current taxonomic arrangement of these groups is inadequate and suggested substantial reassessment of species boundaries. However, while they provided a brief revision of the nominal forms implied by their results they noted that further work would greatly improve the suggested taxonomy, and many of the suggested synonymies were tentative. We follow the Australian Society of Herpetologists in not implementing the changes suggested by Rabosky et al. (2014) until further work can be conducted to resolve relationships and species boundaries.
