Diagnosis
A pair of combined male and prostatic pores on the seventeenth setigerous segment, normally XVIII. Setae 8 per segment. Meronephric; nephridia typically vesiculate, frequently avesiculate, throughout, not very numerous on each side (often 4 or 5, but sometimes reaching 15 per side) some or all discharging in the setal lines; the medianmost nephridium usually (always?) with a preseptal funnel. Typhlosole present or absent. Prostates tubular, tubuloracemose, or, rarely, racemose?; if racemose, not with externally branching ducts.
