Introduction
The largest Crypthelia pudica colony in Australian is recorded in Western Australia and is 8.3 cm tall and 3.8 cm wide, the base diameter is 3.2 mm attached to a hexactinellid sponge. This specimen is housed at the
Western Australian museum (Cairns, 1988).
