Type species:
Cressida heliconides Swainson, 1832 by subsequent designation, see Bryk, F. 1929. Familia Papilionidae I (Lamproptera, Cressida, Euryades, Troides). Lepidopterorum Catalogus. Pt 35 pp. 1–55. [8] (Swainson listed Fabricius' description of Papilio cressida Fabricius, 1775); (Edwards, E.D., Newland, J. & Regan, L., 2001) (Swainson's generic name is clearly based on this species; however, as types of the genus he listed Cressida heliconides Swainson, 1832 and Cressida harmonides (Godart, 1819); because Swainson did not list Papilio cressida Fabricius, 1775, Bryk's designation may be valid, as otherwise Papilio cressida Fabricius, 1775 would be the type species by absolute tautonomy)).
