Introduction
While the genera Gymnorhina and Melloria have been placed in the synonymy of Cracticus by many authors (e.g. Christidis & Boles (2008) and references therein), Cake et al. (2013) provide an argument for why these genera should be retained as valid. See also Kearns et al. (2013).
