Extra Ecological Information
Adult active after sunset and bites humans; adults taken in light traps; larvae are unknown but almost certainly associated with permanent water bodies with marginal reeds/rushes and perhaps floating vegetation to which the larvae would attach; on circumstantial evidence, may be associated with brackish rather than freshwater habitats.
