Type species:
Conescharellina angustata D'Orbigny, 1852 by subsequent designation, see Waters, A.W. 1919. Batopora (Bryozoa) and its allies. Annals and Magazine of Natural History 9 3: 79-94 [93].
Introduction
Bock & Cook (2004) examined Maplestone (1909) material labelled as Biphora angulophora (Tenison Woods 1880) in NMV, which they inferred to be from New South Wales. They found the colonies could be assigned to a "general category" of Biphora angulophora but without type specimens for that species it was not possible to be certain of their identification and they assigned the material to Conescharellina sp.
