  Paralectotype(s) BMNH 1887.4.27.9 wet (as 'Thalassodendron reticulata' RVL. ms name, Port Jackson, NSW, =AM G3590 slide); AM G9162 dry (NMV photo 9/12), Tuggerah Beach, NSW [33°19'S 151°25'E]; ZMB 2264, 6894 fragments of type(s?).
