Order CHIMAERIFORMES
Introduction
The order Chimaeriformes contains a single extant suborder (Chimaeroidei), with three families, and two extinct suborders (Nelson 1994). Compagno (1999) summarised knowledge of the group. Relationships are treated by Didier (1995).
