Ecological Descriptors

Larva: arboreal, herbivore (associated flora: Cinnamomum camphora (L.) J.Presl [LAURACEAE] Camphor Laurel; Neolitsea dealbata (R.Br.) Merr. [LAURACEAE] Hairy Leaved Bolly Gum; Cryptocarya sp. [LAURACEAE]; Litsea leefeana F.Muell.) Merr. [LAURACEAE]).

Extra Ecological Information

Introduced larval food plant, Cinnamomum camphora (Lauraceae), eggs laid singly on the upper surface of mature leaves of food plant, larva builds silk-lined shelters from mature leaves and feeds at night, pupa in last larval shelter, adults fly in late afternoon along margins of rainforest and are recorded throughout the year with peaks in October/November and April/May.
