Holotype BMNH specimen without abdomen (holotype lost but other material exists), between Australia and Papua New Guinea (12º8´S 145º10´E, 2548 m, 'Challenger' station 184); near Tabuai (Austral) Ils (22º21´S 150º17´W, 4341 m 'Challenger' station 281).
