Extra Ecological Information
Nest in dead dry pithy stems (weed, Lantana L. [Verbenaceae], Rubus L. [Rosaceae], Verbena L. [Verbenaceae], Xanthorrhoea Sm. [Xanthorrhoeaceae]), no evidence of castes or social behaviour, each larva reared in individual, mass-provisioned cell, but several adults may be found in one nest, overwintering, or soon after emergence.
