Benthic, colonial, marine, rocky bottom, sedentary.
Extra Ecological Information
Tubiculous, amongst glacial moraine, grey muds, colonies irregularly branched, up to 25 cm high and 15 cm wide, pale to rich reddish amber colour, darkening with age, dredged with stones, amongst abundant ascidians, in association with Cephalodiscus (Idiothecia) nigrescens Lankester, 1905, Cephalodiscus (Orthoecus) solidus Andersson, 1907, and Bryozoa.
