Introduction
Cellepora bilabiata was introduced by Busk twice: once in 1852 (Voyage of Rattlesnake), and then again in 1881 (Challenger). The only illustration was in 1884. It is uncertain if the descriptions apply to the same species.

Known only from type locality.
