STRUCTURE
Galls of this species occur alone or in groups of 3–4. Galls are flattened on the summit with the sides deeply cleft into 10–12 segments forming a circular, solid, but thin walled gall. Male developed inside gall chamber. Mature galls may contain 3–4 white, silken, oval puparia open at the apex. Males are red, wings white. Adult female broadly rounded, convex, rounded on dorsal surface, red (see Froggatt, W.W. 1933. The Coccidae of the casuarinas. Proceedings of the Linnean Society of New South Wales 58: 363–374).
