Occurence: Upper Jurassic to Recent.
Diagnosis
Valves biconvex, anterior commisure plane to incipiently sulciplicate; cural processes fused in adult forming complete ring-like loop; foramen hypothyridid, mesothyridid, or epithyridid; lophophore plectolophous. From Moore (1965: H807).
