Genus Callosiconops Kröber, 1940

Introduction

Evenhuis et al. (2008) list Chrysidiomyia Kröber, 1940 is a nomen nudum as the original description was published after 1930 without the designation of a type species (art. 13.3 of the Code). The same authors also note that Smith (1989) was the first to designate a type species for the genus whose correct authorship is therefore Chrysidiomyia Smith, 1989.
Schneider (2010) synonymises Chrysidiomyia and Callosiconops but wrongly assigns the status of junior synonym to the latter name.
Gibson & Skevington (2013) correctly give precedence to Callosiconops Kröber, 1940 over Chrysidiomyia Smith, 1989.
