Introduction
In his 2007 review of Australian ladybird beetles, their biology and classification, Ślipiński (2007) revises genera occurring in Australia, provides keys to genera for adults and larvae, and describes new genera and species. This work, together with that of Ślipiński & Dolambi (2007), Ślipiński & Pang (2009) and Tomaszewska (2010), brings to 57 the number of genera currently listed for Australia, and 332 valid species.
