Family CHROMODORIDIDAE Bergh, 1891
Introduction
A very diverse group of genera and numerous species world-wide, mostly found in tropical and warm temperate shallow seas. All are sponge feeders, some very exclusively so. Includes some of the most strikingly patterned and coloured nudibranchs, as well as some very drab and uniformly coloured species. Most species are oval in outline, soft, smooth and glossy, a few are elongate and high, quite solid, and ornamented with large papillae and ridges. Compiled from Burn (in press).
