Howick and Heron islands and off Townsville, Qld south to Port Jackson, NSW, from Yardie Ck, Rowley Shoals and Timor Sea, WA; Indo-west-central Pacific Ocean. Depth range 0-45 m, Miocene deposits from Java, Pliocene from Fiji, Pleistocene from New Hebrides
