Species Brevipalpus phoenicis (Geijskes, 1939)

Introduction

The detailed research reported by Beard et al. (2015) shows that several species have been confused under the name Brevipalpus phoenicis, and casts doubt on previous records of this species. Present evidence suggets that B. phoenicis does not occur in Australia, and that all Australian records of this species are misidentifications.
