Species Branchinella longirostris Wolf, 1911
- Branchinella longirostris Wolf, E. 1911. Phyllopoda. In Michaelsen, W. & Hartmeyer, R. (eds) Die Fauna Südwest-Australiens. Ergebnisse der Hamburger südwest-australischen Forschungsreise 1905. Jena : G. Fischer Vol. 3. 253-276 pp. [257-259 figs1, 2].
Type data:
Holotype WAM, pools on Boorabbin Rock, via Merredin, WA.
Paratype(s) ZMB
Comment: WAM has a holotype listed (7131) but it has never been located (Jones 1986). Geddes (1981) saw a holotype and noted it was disintegrated. This holotype appears now not to exist. ZMB has type material consisting of three specimens (16321), and, given that there is supposed to be a holotype, these should be regarded as paratypes.
