Northern Australia (Timms 2004) including Kimberley (Geddes 1981; Timms 2004: fig. 4) and less commonly in Pilbara (unpubl. data, CALM Wildlife Research Centre), both in WA, common in the 'Top End', NT (Geddes 1981), and occasionally in north-western Qld (Geddes 1981).
