Branchinella budjiti Timms, B.V. 2001. Two new species of Branchinella Sayce 1903 (Crustacea: Anostraca: Thamnocephalidae) from the Paroo, inland Australia. Records of the Australian Museum 53: 247-254 [247-250 fig. 1].

Holotype AM P58543, claypan, 500m north-west of Muella Homestead, 130 km north-west of Bourke, NSW.

Presumedly a filter feeder; found mainly in very turbid claypans (Timms & Sanders 2002).
