Holotype NHM-UK NHM-2000.2929 ♀ in ethanol vial (parthenogenic female, taken from a clonal population (strain SM2) maintained in the rotifer culture collection at the Institut Cavanilles de Biodiversitat i Biologia Evolutiva, University of Valencia (ICBIBE-UV), Spain, originally founded from a single amictic female collected in type locality, Col: 06/05/1993), Cabanes-Torreblanca Marsh, Spain.
