Type data: holotype BMNH ♀*; Mabille in the original description stated that he had one specimen; Evans, W.H. 1949. A Catalogue of the Hesperiidae from Europe, Asia and Australia in the British Museum (Natural History). London : British Museum xix 502 pp. 53 pls [436] (gave type specimen information).
Type locality: Australia or Oceania (as d'Australie ou de l'Océanie in original description), see Waterhouse, G.A. 1937. Australian Hesperiidae. VII. Notes on the types and type localities. Proc. Linn. Soc. N.S.W. 62(3–4): 107–125 [120] (suggested New Caledonia as the type locality).
