Systematics

As subgenera Bathypallenopsis and Pallenopsis were previously within Callipallenidae and Phoxichilidiidae families, consecutively. Family Pallenopsidae was resurrected by Bamber, 2004, and Pallenopsis and Bathypallenopsis were raised to full generic status by Bamber 2007.
