Ballistura Börner, C. 1906. Das System der Collembolen nebst Beschreibung neuer Collembolen des Hamburger Naturhistorischen Museums. Mitteilungen aus dem Naturhistorischen Museum in Hamburg 23: 147-188 [172] [introduced as a subgenus of Proisotoma Börner, 1901].
Type species:
Isotoma schoetti Dalla Torre, 1895 by original designation (as schotti).
