Introduction

Austrorhytida nandewarensis resembles A. capillacea, but has deeper whorls and more conspicuous spiral striae on the protoconch.

Diagnosis

Shell large, dull yellowish-brown, subdiscoidal; spire raised, whorls rather deep; protoconch with conspicuous spiral striae and weak radial ribs, teleoconch sculpture of strong radial ribs above; umbilicus narrow, U-shaped; diameter 25mm.
