Diagnosis

Austrochloritis is distinguished from other sympatric camaenid land snails bearing periostracal setae by the protoconch sculpture that consists of scattered pustules and rugose ridges. Calvigenia has crowded radial ridges while other genera generally have crowded to moderately spaced pustules.
