  Comment: this specimen from Haswell's collection is regarded as the holotype by Myers, A.A. 1969. A revision of the amphipod genus Microdeutopus Costa (Gammaridea: Aoridae). Bulletin of the British Museum (Natural History) Zool. 17(4): 93–148 pl. 1 [107, 148]. There is no evidence to support this assumption.
