Introduction

According to Huber (2010) Atrina (Servatrina) pectinata pectinata is not found in Australia, but has an Indian Ocean distribution.

Continental shelf, in mud, in sand, intertidal, marine, mud bottom–marine, sand bottom marine.

Extra Ecological Information

Living specimens have been collected to about 350 m. Feeds on plankton, major foods consumed are diatoms, copepods and protozoans
